Manuel De la Rosa, DDS, MS
Dr. De la Rosa received his D.D.S. from the University of Nuevo León in Monterrey, Mexico in 1992. Afterwards he graduated from the department of Periodontics at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, were he received a certificate in Periodontics and a M.S. degree. He then joined the department of Dental Implantology and Prosthodontics, were he completed a Fellowship program in Oral Implantology and Prosthodontics in 1997. He returned to Monterrey and formed the department of Implantology at the University of Nuevo Leon school of dentistry, were he maintained a position as adjunt professor in the graduate periodontics department from 1997 to 2008.
Dr De la Rosa is currently a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Periodontology. He continues to lecture nationally and internationally in the field of Periodontics and Implantology. Former secretary of the Mexican Academy of Periodontics 2004-2008. Dr. De la Rosa maintains a private practice in periodontics and implantology, he is part of a group practice, where he shares a mutlidisciplinary approach of treatment with his 2 sisters, Orthodontist and Prosthodontist, as well as his father (Periodontist). In addition he created the Hispanic Center for Continuing Education in Periodontics, were he offers CE training in Periodontics and Implantology. He has published different papers in periodontics nationally and internationally.
