E. Richard Hughes, D.D.S., Sterling Virginia, graduated from the Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in 1982. Dr. Hughes received a certificate in Dental Implantology in 1993 from the Howard University College of Dentistry in conjunction with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Hughes is a Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, a Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Prosthodontics and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry. Dr Hughes is a member of the surgical staff, infection control committee and cancer committee at the INOVA Loudoun Hospital, Leesburg, VA. He was mentored by the following notable oral implantologist , Drs. Leonard I. Linkow, C. Benson Clark and Ralph Roberts. Dr. Hughes has lectured locally and nationally, has published and has been practicing restorative and surgical implant dentistry since 1990. He has clinical interest in multimodal implant treatment, pain management, bone grafting and augmentation.
