Southern Implants has some truly unique site specific implants. The MAX which is a tapered, larger than diameter implant indicated for immediate placement in multi rooted posterior extraction sites. Available in 7, 8 or 9MM diameters, with lengths of 7, 9, and 11. The connection is either an external hex, internal tri-lobe or internal taper, all compatible with major implant system. Interestingly the 8 and 9 MM are restored with a 6MM so there is built in platform switching. The MAX reduces the need for bone grafting, and can reduce the number of visits and chair time, since the implant is placed at time of extraction and usually a healing abutment is placed.
The surface is a medium roughness blasted surface that has a great history. Company has been in the US for about 3 years, over years for close to 20 years.
Southern Implants also makes the only ANGLED implant on the market, called the Co-Axis. Has a built in 12 or 24 degree angle to allow for optimum placement in bone but still maintaining a straight prosthetic connection for easy restoration. Great for anterior maxillary placement, all on four, anywhere where an angled implant would provide the optimum solution.
Has anyone had experience with these implants?
