What sterioid management protocol are your using for lichen planus?

I typically use trays with topically lidex. The patient gets the best effect off this. I usually see a quick response and lesions are gone in a week.

I have the patient swish with decadron and then swallow for a minor systemic effect. It reduces the outbreaks.

In general for a small out break I will use topical steriods. Kenalog in orabase or Decadron.

For extreme symptomatic cases I will refer to a OMFS or Periodontists of systemic Steriod management.
