I am looking for regimens on management of Sinus infections: What your antibiotic of choice? When do you decide to clean out the graft? When do you regraft, how long do you wait?
If there is an infection post sinus augmentation my first preference is giving Zitromax+Metronidazole.Don't forget we are dealing with respiratory infection.
In case it does'nt resolve clean up the graft, rinse and wait for at least 4 months before coming back.
I think your question is difficult to answer. Generically, I would say augmentin is the antiobiotic of choice, I usually clean out the graft material and I wait at least 4-6months before I go back and regraft.
