Hi, I am a recent grad of the Misch Institute and it was outstanding. The Wisconsin AGD is sponsoring a course that will highlight mini-implants and traditional implants with a live surgical experience on Sat. The surgery will show ridge spreading, implant placement in extraction sites, mini-implants as provisionals and will be very exciting. If you would like a pdf of the course. E-mail me at rick@winterdental.com and I will forward it to you.
Sincerely,
Rick Winter

I took the mcg maxi course. It was a great experience. The price was very affordable for a 10 month course. The staff is exceptionally hospitable. The AAID A-F exam is given in the last month. We covered everything in implants from A-Z, from terminology to gross anatomy. No bias for specific companies or products was observable. And best of all, lectures were delivered by some of the best clinicians in the country if not the world. There were many famous clinicians on the cast of lecturers. Need I say more than O'Hilt Tatum! I know I definately got my money's worth. This course is definately worth a look for the new implant doctor.
I'm halfway through the implant preceptorship at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio Dental School. I went into this course a good grasp of implant restoration and treatment planning but with very limited implant surgical experience. I can say this is a great place to start, it isn't sponsored by any one implant company but many implant companies are represented in one or more of the 6 weekends that the course covers. There is a great mix of lecturers who practice implant surgery with different philosophies. As I said I think it's a great jumping off point for those interested in learning more about restoring implants and the surgical placement of implants. It generally runs from October-March and is a weekend a month.
Implant Courses by Misch
I highly recommend courses by the AAID or ICOI. Misch has some great courses.
