Its been a few years since the ADA recognized the oral maxillofacial radiology as a new specialty. I myself think it was a godsend. I myself think there should be more specialties (orofacial pain/tmd, implants, oral medicine) and not sure why the ADA limits specialization. That being said, I like some detail of the the oral and maxillofacial residencies: What are the good programs out there? Are they in the match? What is the curriculum and how long is the residency? What is the job market like for the radiologist post residency?
