Regeneration next to teeth...has it fallen out of favor?

Seems like the focus of dentistry has shifted away from saving teeth to implants. My question is anyone doing bone grafts to regenerate the bone, cementum and PDL anymore?
In my practice, I am still a periodontist that trys and saves teeth. I have had some great success with regeneration. I use FDBA and EMD and have had great bone fill, CAL gain and PD reduction on teeth that some would of extracted for implants.
I say contact your local perio before you pull the tooth in favor of an implant. We may be able to save it.
