Many people do different things when it comes to doing a block. Some inlay it, some use two point fixations, some use growth factors: What special protocols do you do to enhance healing of your block?
I agree with all the comments but would add that I do soak my membrane in the PPP from the PRP concentrate. I think PRP is helpful with the soft tissue healing and decreases flap opening in my hands.
Block Grafting technique shouldnt really differ any from any bone grafting. The principles are the same for each in terms of blood supply and atraumatic handling of the tissue.
First, I always prep my site in an inlay fashion. Next after I harvest the block I prepare the block so there is no sharp edges and it lays flat on the defect site with no rocking. I always use PRP and alway use 2 point fixation and lag the screws. I cover the block with either an ossix or biomend extend membrane and close with passive primary closure.

Techniques for Block allograft prep.
My block graft technique is similar to what everyone else has posted. Only difference is I am using Pericardium membrane.

Block Grafting technique...Primary wound closure is critcal.
Here is what I do:
1) Prep site in an inlay fashion or flatten the area so block doesnt rock.
2)Remove sharp edges and lay it flat on the defect site to avoid rocking.
3) Decorticate the site to stimulate bleeding.
4) 2 point fixation and lag the screws.
5) fill in around block with particulate graft
6) Cover the block with either collagen membrane
7) Passive primary wound closure with horizontal and vertical sutures and evert the wound.
