What is the latest and greatest in intrabony or furcation defect regeneration?

I havent seen any recent articles on regeneration. Have people given up on regeration of perio defects in place of implants?

Gem 21 for regeneration: Gotta love it

I use gem for both GTR and GBR and the soft and hard tissue results are fantastic.

I dont mix it with the tcp but add it to puros bone. You can achieve nice bone fill with this.

Perio Regeneration: Its works if you know what you are doing

I have had regeneration work for me. Read the Bowers Henna studies.

You need to debride the defect throughly and graft with either dfdba or fdba. I treat the surface with EDTA and place emdogain in the graft and on the root surface and cover with a membrane.

I also use antibiotics pre and post op.

Try it, it works.

Furcation defect regeneration? Extract and place an implant

I never see this work. I am not a periodontist but I think its more predictable to extract and place an implant.
