Dr. Dong-Seok Sohn is Professor and Chair, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Daegu Catholic University, School of Medicine, Daegu, Korea. Dr. Sohn is Past president of ICOI Asia-Pacific Section(2005), Past Chairman, Board of Directors, ICOI Asia-Pacific Section.(2006), Founding President of Korean Society of Oral Implantologists-ICOI Korea(2005), Director of Implant C.E Course at Daegu Catholic University(1998~),

Author of books “Immediate loading with provisional implants (Ji-Sung Publishing, 2002),Clinical applications of sintered porous surface implants (Gun-Ja Publishing, 2002) and Innovative implant dentistry (Gun-Ja Publishing, 2003), Clinical applications of piezoelectric bone surgery (2008).

Dr. Sohn is the author and co-author of numerous articles published nationally and internationally. Recipient of Charles English Award in 2007 Implant Dentistry. He is an invited main speaker in many national & international congress on implantology. Dr. Sohn was the first to introduce Piezosurgery devices in Asia Pacific Section(2002). Developer of Innovative hydrodynamic piezoelectric internal sinus elevation (HPISE) technique.
