Haim Tal, DMD, Mdent, PhD (Rand)
Dr. Tal received his D.M.D. from the Hebrew University Jerusalem and Hadassah School of Dental Medicine, and his Master of Dentistry and PhD from the University of the Witwatersrand Johannesburg where he also completed his training in Periodontics and Oral Medicine. Currently he is the Head of the School of Dental Medicine, professor and chairman of the Department of Periodontology and Incumbent of The Gerald Niznick Chair of Implantology at Tel Aviv University.
Between 1982 and 1984 served as Associate Professor of Periodontics and Oral Medicine at New York University College of Dentistry. Prof. Tal is a visiting professor at Toronto University and a visiting scholar at New York University. Prof. Tal is a recipient of the annual academic fellowship award of the American Academy of Oral Medicine; Honnorary Fellow of the Israel Dental Association; Doctor Honoris Causa of the University of Bukarest. Published over 130 publications in the fields of periodontal wound healing and regeneration, implant dentistry, cryosurgery and physical anthropology. Dr. Tal has lectured worldwide.
