I saw your article in JIACD on biologic shaping and was intriqued. What is the benefits long term for the perio health and does it change the approach to the traditional crown lenghtening procedure removing less bone?

Grand Dermis is a new soft tissue graft by Grand Biologics. This product does not need to be refrigerated in order to sustain it's integrity. It will not show a significant color change or exhibit any necrotic tissue odor when used. The epidermal layer is removed while keeping an intact basement membrane, thus maintaing connective tissue components of the collagen matrix throughout sterilization procedures important in the formation of new tissue upon healing. I havent seen any recent articles on regeneration. Have people given up on regeration of perio defects in place of implants?

Read alot in residency on antimicrobials and intial therapy but does it really do much? Most periodontists say it adds very little. Opinions?

I have a couple of patient in my office that had root amps from my local periodontist. I restored them and they been doing well ever since. Implants have overtaken what appears to me as a good treatment to save a tooth. Any periodontist out there doing root amps? Do you find them to be successful?

Seems like the focus of dentistry has shifted away from saving teeth to implants. My question is anyone doing bone grafts to regenerate the bone, cementum and PDL anymore?

Anyone doing those anymore or do most people use ctg's?
